On-off Rook: Searching for more details

On-off Rook: Searching for more details

We have just been informed of a fairly popular game that appears to have formed within the Amish community entitled “on-off rook”, or also called “Rook-on Rook-off”. It is apparently a board game mixed with two rook decks and poker chips. However, we do not have details on the board itself. Nor do we have details on the game play. Anyone out there care to shed light on this game? We’d love to learn more about it and hopefully give it a try ourselves.

I am actually on the hunt for the rules too. It’s also known as Board Rook. I have played it with Amish friends and recently purchased the card with the intention of making my own board. The aim of the game is to be the first team to arrange 3 groups of 5 counters in a row -horizontally, vertically or diagonally. That’s as much as I can remember!
